Happy Birthday!

Madilyn Lydia Lewis was born on 3/31/11 at 3:18 a.m. She weighed 7lbs and was 20 inches long. It was a little crazy this time because "Mady" turned completely breech on Monday the 28th. Tuesday I spent most of the day in the hospital while the doctors tried to turn her back into position. It took two doctors and a nurse, but we finally had her back where she needed to be. We planned to be induced on the morning of the 31st. Once again this little girl made plans of her own and arrived in the wee hours of the morning. We had a scare shortly after she was born because a nurse in the nursery noticed she was blue. They rushed her to the NICU and cleared her passage way. She was choking on fluid. For a couple of days she continued to go into respiratory distress. They kept her on oxygen and put an IV in her. We spent Thursday thru Sunday in the NICU, but she is now completely healthy. For some unknown reason, she could not clear the fluid from her lungs, so it took her a few days to work it out. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers and kind thoughts. She is doing so well. She is simply the tiniest, cutest little girl. We cannot wait for everyone to meet her.
