Adorable....

Mady cannot get enough of her big brothers! Ben and Eli love their baby sister, and it is so adorable to watch them all together. Mady is doing well. We visited the GI specialist yesterday, and he said we are on the right track. We are going to continue with the uber expensive formula until she reaches 6 months. Eli also had a doctor's appt. He visited the hematologist to check on his anemia. He had to do a huge blood draw, and I was really tense about the whole thing. Eli did not even flinch. He sat there fascinated by the butterfly needle and all of the blood. It was incredible. He was so psyched to get a band-aid afterwards. He is absolutely amazing.

Fun with the Bros

The boys and I were reading books to Mady, and she loved it. She loves the attention her brothers give her. She is just the happiest little girl. She had her two month check up last week, and the Pediatrician was pleased with her progress. She is 20th percentile weight and 90th percentile length. All of her energy seems to be going towards growing taller. We are still going to see a GI specialist next week to try to determine what is causing her digestion issues, but in the meantime we seem to be so happy.

Sweet girl

Here we are completely passed out after a bottle. She is such a sweet baby. She smiles for everyone she meets. We spent last week at Nana's house and Mady laughed for the first time. It was adorable. Apparently, she is very ticklish. We could not be more blessed.

Big Brother

Ben is simply the most amazing big brother, and Mady adores him. Ben helps feed her when we can't sit with her. He also sings the sweetest song to her. In the car, his seat is next to her and he soothes her when she is upset about being in the carseat. He sings the song he wrote which goes a little something like this:
I love you Mady, I love you Mady, I love you!
It is pretty repetitive but so incredibly sweet. Eli tries to sing along too. We have to be careful not to expect too much from him because he is only 4, but he is such a wonderful brother.

Almost summer break

In mid-May, Mady was officially 6 weeks old. This was her 6 week photo. She is growing slowly and steadily. We spend a lot of time at the Pediatrician because we noticed at around 6 weeks that Mady had a distended belly. After an intense ultrasound, they confirmed her organs looked great. They did however find that she had a lot of excess gas in her lower intestines. They think she has a milk and soy intolerance. We have tried a series of different formulas and have restricted my diet. She is now on a special formula with no soy or milk and seems to be improving. The boys are doing great. Here they were working on painting race cars that their grandmother sent them.
