First Day...sort of
This was Ben's first day of school in public school. We lasted an entire week before we decided to move him to a private Christian school. We are in a great school district, but the school for our neighborhood is still being built. We are being housed by another gigantic school which is daunting. Brian left for an epic long trial in California, so in his absence we moved Ben to SACS. The transition was fairly smooth and now Ben loves it. He has two amazing teachers and only 16 kids in his class, so the ratio is fantastic. He is learning so much it is scary. He is quoting scripture, learning sign language, spanish and his reading is really picking up. We are so pleased with our sweet boy.
The Beach!!!
In mid-August we decided to take the kids on a last minute trip to the beach. We loaded up and drove to Destin, FL. It was so perfect for our family. We rented a condo on the beach which was gorgeous. The place had amazing pools, splash pads and a lazy river. We basically spent a week alternating between the beach and the pools. One day Brian did venture out and he took the boys to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. They have decided to become Blue Angels. All in all it was a great vacation.
